Anyone got any advice on how best to tie up all loose ends with the tax man here in the U.K before departing for Oz? Nothing major - just normal employed working man stuff - not self employed or own business etc. How soon should this be done before departure??

Any tips greatfully recieved!

You have to complete an IR Form P85 before you leave which you can download here. Have a read through the IR Centre for Non Residents which should explain all your obligations.

If you are keeping any bank accounts open in the UK you can reclaim any tax paid at source by submitting a Form R43 at the end of the tax year.
