does anyone know about claiming income tax back before leaving, Ive heard this is possible???

You need to fill in this form (P85), then they will assess if you are due anything back

If you're lucky!

They finalised my wife's pretty quickly after sending in her form, but insisted I had to complete a tax return the following April (although both of our financial affairs were not complicated, just job and bank savings).
