Tax is better here?
Well you will pay more but not to worry its all in a good cause , love the bit about not over taxed but not unfairly , this place invented the spin doctors and a washing line cannot think of anything else.
The Australian Council of Social Service is demanding the closure of tax loopholes, arguing they force low-income earners, rather than the rich, to bear the brunt of underwriting public services.
"The people paying the highest tax rates are not high-income earners," the paper says.
"They are unemployed people and mothers in low-income families who often lose more than 70 per cent of their extra earnings as a result of 'poverty traps' in social security and tax rules."
"Australians are not over-taxed but they are unfairly taxed," the report says.
Australians pay between 3% and 4% , more in tax than Americian and British tax payers.
PS Just trying to work out what I do not get charged twice for not health care for a start.
