Re: Tasmania (continued!)
That's great news about the twins!:thumbsup: Congratulations Kerry & All :wub: Can't wait to see pictures of the girls..
Sorry to hear about your health problems Effie. :( I hope you manage to sort something out with your consultant and that you dont have to cancel your trip. It would be classed as a pre-existing medical condition by your insurance company though, so if you were to go into hospital, because the problem is already noted on your medical records you may have issues making a claim. Your best bet is to have a chat with insurers and ask how much increase on the premium there would be if the problem was listed as a pre-existing medical condition. If you're able to get a letter from your GP or the hospital stating that you're deemed "fit for travel" this might help. Some insurers dont charge for certain pre-existing conditions - but it's whether you can find one that has your kind of problem under that category... Good Luck - i hope you get something sorted. Cathy :) |

Hi All, Went into the coles at Kings Medows near Launceston today and they have a little section of food from the UK!!!! In the area they had Yorkshire pudding mix, Red Cabbage, Chip shop batter, Mushy Peas, Tinned New potatoes, Marmite, Golden Syrup,Rice Pudding, Custard, Wheatabix(not branded) malt vineger and some biscuits but forgot the name as they where not Happy Faces!!!!!

Gary I haven't eaten tinned new potatoes in years (thank god), it was the kind of thing my Mum always had a tin of in the back of the cupboard incase extra people turned up around dinner time and she wouldn't have enough normal spuds to go round! Our local Tesco's now has virtually a whole aisle dedicated to "european" goods now! |
