Talk about leaving it to the last minute
Just spoke to our case officer. Visas will be issued today (Tuesday), posted tomorrow (Wednesday), with us Thursday, we fly on Saturday!!!!! (subject to baggage handlers not striking - pay the guys what they want I say!)
Manchester to Singapore, one night stop then onto Brisbane arriving Monday 12 July.
By the way does anybody know if we will be able to get a people carrier or minibus type taxi from the airport without waiting too long or arranging in advance? (there are five of us with lots of baggage and two pushchairs)

good luck anyway, as for the taxi thing you should get a minibus typo but you can book one just to make sure im down in Melbourne so not too sure about the airport up in Brisbane.
Hope you have a good flight and all is ok for your visa and the airport strike doesnt affect you...

Yes you will.
When you arrive at Brissy airport, head thru main glass doors, and wait there , there a minibus shuttle etc comes round very frequently.

They have what is known as the Maxi taxi in Aus, bit like a small minivan with a space for a wheelchair if required, only thing is there isn't many of them.
We had to get one as there are five of us.
Cant wait to have to get one again.
