I like the things. He got in the cap cover so can easily crawl around and in through the door.

There are a lot of arachnophobes out there (me included) that dread the thought of a close encounter of a hairy kind. I can just picture myself being completly paranoid and checking everything (in, out, under, visor in car etc etc), so what's it like with the furry little critters, are they in abundance, or rarely seen?

Do you have a huntsman tale to share?
If you look any thing like your ,avatar you will never see a hunts man...:scared: ................. MM

Once when I was round at the inlaws having dinner, there was a huge huntsman on the window outside! I tryed to spray it but they are nippy little critters!! Managed to get it in the end but almost had a heartattack in the process!

Definitely think the best thing to do is leave them and they won't bother you!

Simple ,just leave the bloody things alone, the average huntsman spider will do more beneficial, things for this planet, in its short 9 mth life span ,than you wil do inh 9yrs of yours................. MM

All the more reason to leave all spiders alone!

Mr B used to play with funnel webs as a child, just to see them rear up. He's still here to tell the tale

Huntsmen bites hurt like hell. It's like being stapled really hard. Then you feel weird for a couple of days, it's like being really vague for a while.

I had one that lived behind the dash of the car. Sometimes it would climb up onto the steering wheel and stay at the top while I turned the wheel. Good fun.

And they do eat the cockroaches.

Ya see, I don't need the bite of a huntsman to make me really vague, hence DollyDaydream!! Banish them from the face of the planet..... (sorry huntsman lovers!!).

I don't mind them outside but if they come in my house I class them as fair game.

You'll find them more inside than not; they prefer shelter and to keep out of the rain, etc.
