Thumbs up Taking U.K Modem to AUS :)

I was thinking that when we went to AUS, we wouldn't be able to take our modem with us, as the connection at the phone socket is different in AUS than in the UK.

Have just found adapters to change UK to AUS, so it fits their sockets, in PC World for only £6.99 if anyone's interested

u can get them here too mate - many older houses have the massive daft plug for the phone socket, many new/modern ones have the newer cat type plug rJ13 or whatever it is - either way those adapters are pretty common so dont worry if you forget to pack it ;-)

Good to know that our UK modem will plug in. Does anyone know the difference between ADSL (BT type) and DSL (cable type) of systems. We are interested in buying a wireless modem for use in the UK but when we looked at modems online, we noticed that there were 2 different types. Which one will work in Oz?
Any comments appreciated.
Thanks
Paul
