Rather than selling our mini cooper and losing a stack of dosh on doing that, we are considering taking it out to Sydney with us (it might even work out cheaper than selling it?)

Don't know about the shipping but there's a brand new BM showroom in Chatswood (North Shore BMW), I worked at a couple of BM bike dealers & they would honour warranty claims on bikes that had been ridden from UK, so they should on Mini's as well.
