We were quoted almost 4 grand (UK grand) to ship 2 Spinone over here - ended up re-homing them as a pair.

Can't remember - some company down south - gave them the dog sizes etc and they came back with (I think) 3800 quid. I know the Spins are big dogs - but that was a lot. We were already in 2 minds about bringing them, especially with the heat here and were VERY lucky to find teh person we did to take 2 of them together. They now live on a farm and get totally spoilt.

We are taking a border collie x and a black lab x springer spaniel. We are paying £3250 plus quarantine fees plus vets blood testing fees. They have just failed one of the blood tests so we will have to pay for this all over again See my thread on "getting stressed, nothing going to plan".

quote from jets4pets for ££2652.91 for 2 springer spaniels. of all the quotes J4P were the most competitive (not quite the cheapest but the other one was a bit dodgy - sorry can't remember who it was but if i heard it again i'd know!) and their service so far has been excellent!!! (contact [email protected] and tell him that Ffyona in Edinburgh sent you)

vets work is still underway and not sure how much that's all coming too

prices for australian quarantine are as follows:

quarantine entry: $10 each animal
Vet Inspection: $71 for each animal for 1/2 hour (most dogs are only 1/2 hour)
Document Clearance: $27 for each animal
Airport Collection: $95 between 8am 4 pm ($120 otherwise)
1st Dog Acc.: $17.55 per day
2nd Dog: $12.55 per day

(prices current as of 26th July 2005: from aqis website)

Hi, we are using Golden Arrow who have a very good reputation on here and really seem to care about the animals.
