Default Taking a car rental from one place to another on the cheap

Does anyone know how to get one of those deals where you can return a car from one place to another for cheap. I need to go from Gold Coast/ Brisbane to Newcastle although I’ll go to Sydney if necessary.

Thanks,

Paul.

I can fully recommend www.standbycars.com

We hired a 4 berth modern, fully equipped Mercedes camper belonging to the Maui company. It included kitchen, shower, toilet, gas cooker, aircon, microwave, all bed linen, duvets, towels and all cooking needs for $1 a day plus they paid us $250 towards fuel costs which pretty much covered us as its a diesel engine!!
Had a fantastic time. They update the returns list every day at 12 noon so you can plan where and when to pick up. You do have to pay $850 deposit which is refunded once you return it to their depot.
