Default Taking a car from Bris to Melbourne

We are considering making a move to Melbourne some time next year and wondered if it is possible to take your car from one state to another on a permanent basis and if so how do you re-register. Anyone done this would appreciate any advice.

Hi again Greggsy!

One of the lads here bought a car from Vic last month and brought it up here to NSW. He had to re-register it and get new slips etc for it - this is different from state to state I know but you can definitely take the car with you - it'll just end up costing you a bit of dosh thats all.
