but Cronulla is so much nicer the commute is worth it and the view from the RSL club is superb!:lol:

Hey Heather , thanks for the info , we have dropped the St Ives idea for exactly that reason . We have been looking in the hills for value for money and are thinking about Glenhaven , as it seems less busy than Castle Hill but is near enough to all amenities . We would miss the sea as we live next to a beach here , but we are worried about being surrounded by second/holiday homes and apartments rather than other families on the coast , that is what has happened here , there are also a lot of retirees rather than younger people , is Freshwater next to Manly ?

Although it looks as if we will have to have a look at Cronulla as it seems to have loads of fans !!:rofl:

For Cronulla read Eastbourne!! Lovely area, nice beach but maybe not a hub of younger social activity.
