Question Sydney Opera House

We're going to be in Sydney in a week or so and it's going to be my mother in law's 60th birthday.

She's very special to us and have been struggling to think of something to buy her.

I was wondering if I could maybe book her in to see something at the opera house? Does anyone have an ideas about this, anyone done it?

There is always something going on in the Opera House, you shouldn't have too much bother getting something.

The opera house is fabulous - and so much better appreciated from seeing a performance there. We're off in a few weeks actually. Again. Going to see the Barber of Seville this time. They do packages - you can have a tour, dinner and performance for something like $350-400 pp (from memory). Some of the tours include back stage access. Even if you're not an opera fan, it's so worth doing. Interval drinks are wonderful for the view. Otherwise, just go to a performance and make your own arrangements for dinner. The tours are really, really regular, so easy to organise. HTH.

Nay bother. Think we did the Starry Night one (but that's going back about five years). Otherwise, there's a range of options - I think some include cruises. Look for packages under the tours section of the website.

Haven't been to a performance there, but it's a really interesting tour. Could combine it with one of those evening sightseeing cruises.....
