Sydney Ladies FTC - Holiday Meet No. 2 (Tues 9 Oct)
Hi all
Fun day in the sun today so we are planning another one for next Tuesday from 10.30. We tossed a few ideas around and agreed on Mona Vale. No kiosk nearby so bring a picnic. All welcome.
If the weather is as good as today I suggest we head straight down onto the beach (n.b. steps to navigate for those with pushchairs), but if it is cooler maybe we should start off by the playground (good little bike track for tots with trikes if you want to throw them in the back of the car)
See you there. . . .

We'll be there as well.
Binbird - approximately how many steps are there to negotiate? Is it doable in a pram or should the pram be abandoned!

From memory I would say there are a dozen or so steps but they are quite wide so I reckon you could manage! If not, give a wave in our direction and someone will be there to help. I don't think it's a major problem.
See you next week. . . .

Jack & I will be there, but not for very long - Tim's mission to get a second ve-hicle wasn't successful and he needs wheels later on.

It's not going to be the warmest of days for a trip to the beach and a picnic - does anyone want to consider a change of venue? If not, bring layers!

hoping to pop along this tuesday.
Kids 14 and 10, are there any other kids this age likely to be around?
Also, where roughly is Mona Vale?

Mona Vale is on Pittwater Road about halfway between Manly and Palm Beach if that helps!
From the people that have posted so far several have toddlers, and there are three of us with kids ranging from approx 5 - 14. I have daughters of 6, 8 and 9.
The car park is slap bang between the beach and the playground and I think we should start off on the grass by the play area. Hope to see you there. . .

I'll be there with my kids: boys aged 4, 8 and 14(minus a couple of days) and a girl who's 9 plus her 8 year old friend. Also, Roscarberry has boys aged 8 and 14.
Binbird, not sure a change of venue would be worth it, as anywhere that wouldn't be cold (ie indoors) would probably cost a bomb. Let's face it, we're all Brits and used to a bit of cold! Expect my lot will probably bring their swimmers anyway, MAD.
