Can anyone advise about the job market in Australia.
I work in banking (yawn) , and was wodering how fluid the market is.
Does anyone know if there is a temp market like the temp market in London.
I know that there are many fund management firms in Sydney.
Are there any decent job agencies to register with ?

Not sure about your sector but these guys are one of the best in the UK so worth giving them a shout

Definitely not the same as the London market - much smaller and fewer job opportunities. More a branch economy. There are a few decent banks, eg McQuarrie Bank, but competition for jobs is pretty intense.

We're actually not going to be going for another couple of years (wy wife is finishing her degree, so we can get over with a VETASSESS skills assessment.
I just wanted to get a handle on what it was like over there.
