Arrived Sydney for two months, eager to find a job. Is there anyone who knows job agency for finding IT jobs? For sending job application, which way will be better - sending via email or by post?

Hi Derek,
What kind of IT jobs are you looking for? Where are you planning to move. I used bluefinresources in Sydney. They specialise in more analytical analysis i.e market research, credit risk etc. Most of my communication was via email with a couple of telephone calls thrown in.

I have been trawling through the job agencies for some time now in preperation for my move to Sydney and this agency seems to have a pretty good IT section.

Have a look at www.jobnet.com.au - they've got a wide range of IT jobs from all sorts of recruitment companies

Thank you very much for your help. I have settled in Sydney and I am going to find an application development job. Have tried seek.com and careerone.com. No interview has been invited.

You emigrated to the wrong country. You should have emigrated to India for a software development job. :scared:

Get your CV looked over by a decent advisor and then send it direct to specific companies you think might be interested in your skills as well.

Try cold calling as well, it might get you some knock backs but you get to ask some decent questions if you get talking to the right people.

Job Agencies make money through your skills try it yourself as well - can't hurt?
