Sydney in January

Hi there, heading to Sydney on PR visa, wife and two kids (10 & 7) can anyone point me in the right direction for things to be done when we get there, eg driving licence, family credit, tax file no. (all the boring stuff)

Thanks for your help
Cheers Andy

Go to a local NSW RTA office and you can get your full NSW Driving licence with no tests, assuming you have held it for 3+ years
http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/licensing/...l_drivers.html

Tax File Number TFN application forms are available from the Tax Office or Centrelink offices.
http://www.ato.gov.au/individuals/co...1/002&st=&cy=1

You need to register at a Centrelink office to get Family Tax Benefit FTB.
http://www.centrelink.gov.au

So you could do both TFN and FTB at Centrelink.

Also register at a Medicare office for a Medicare card.

Most suburbs have all these offices.
