Default In Sydney? Fancy a drink & meeting some new people?

About you…

Are you new to Sydney and looking to meet some more people?

Or have you lived in Sydney for a while but fancy socialising with some new people?

If your answer is yes, read on.

Come and have a drink with us

We're a group of expats who meet up fairly regularly, usually on a Thursday night for a drink after work. We normally drink in the CBD, but also frequent the inner west, but only because that's where a lot of us happen to live.

About us

Age-wise, we're all 20-30 somethings but don't let that put you off. It doesn't matter how old you are, you just have to be old enough to order a schooner! We're a mix of singles and couples from all parts of the UK (there are even some rogue Aussies in the group). Some of us have been in Sydney for several years and others just a few months. Swerv-o is the trusty social coordinator, but only in so far as he suggests places for us to meet in. Katherinious is just one of the regulars.

Where and when

We're meeting up next Thursday, 17th May, from 6:30pm in the Redoak Bar, 201 Clarence Street , Sydney. Drop either Swerv-o or Katherinious a PM if you're thinking about coming.

Don't be shy, come out for a drink. Hope to see you there.

Sounds like fun. I will see if I can get a freedom voucher... I need a nice day for some photography so meeting up after would be cool.

You can't be that bad with children, swervo. Just do your infamous dalek impression. It'll either scare their pants off or they'll love it.

Well, that depends on what you do while you're here

It's ok. I'm really a vampire. Defending myself shouldn't be so tricky.

Can you find a bar that serves pints?

(I don't bite ... really)

I think the Sydney people should have a Hunter Valley wine trip, and then I could go! Am mulling over whether Sydney is a stupid distance to drive for an evening... think it probably is, but then what else am I doing?!

I think a Hunter Valley Wine trip sounds great. We will require accomodation though... We'll bring a sleeping bag each. Got a floor?

So you coming E? You could stay in Sydney overnight... ? Head back in the morning?
Would be lovely to meet you.
