Hi everyone!

I'm new to this site and would appreciate any info that you could give. I am currently negotiating a job offer in Sydney Au$- 70,000 - 80,000. Relocation would be around the 1st quarter of next year with Visa 457. This job is based somewhere near Kingsford Smith Airport and would require me to go on fortnightly/monthly business trips to Melbourne and Victoria, ranging from 1 day to 2 weeks.

I'm a single mom with a 12 year-old girl and needed some information about childcare and school. Because of work-related travelling, I think the best option would be to send her to a boarding school but its way out of my league with the salary package, public school is more affordable (Au$ 4,800/year). Is there any affordable/cheap Catholic or any public school that offers casual boarding around Inner West? Would really like to know the approximate costs.

I am really keen on getting this job but the child care issues are setting me back. Don't have any relatives there. Any advice/info/suggestions would be helpful. Thanks a lot in advance.

ETA: I could be wrong but you might have to pay international school fees being on a 457 visa, best check it out.
