Sydney accommodation on arrival

Sydney accommodation on arrival
OK, have done plenty of searches and have a couple of options for short term furnished accommodation (4 weeks). A place on Kent street and another near Hyde park.
But if anyone can recommend somewhere decent for max around $750pw I'd be very grateful? Somewhere in the city or out towards Surry Hills/Moore park area. Not expecting much for that price and it's just for the two of us so a studio is fine.
Thanks!

Short term furnished accommodation in Sydney is notoriously expensive or hard to find. Here is a great little place http://www.drummoyne-serviced-apartm...servations.php It is not exactly where you are looking to be, but worth a look. It is in the bustling Inner West, so you are looking at 20mins into the city on a bus. Also lots to see and do around, very green and surrounded by water. A good introduction to Sydney.

Ah it's unreal. So expensive for grotty looking places - and I'm sure they are worse than the pictures too!
Thanks for that. The missus will be working in Malabar so wanted something that side of the city. The same group have one in Surry Hills so have contacted them about that so god link. They have one in Randwick too but it's nearly $1k a week.

Check out the Randwick Lodges.

They're on the right side of the city for Malabar. More like hotel rooms than apartments but not too expensive if booked for a longer period. They're also in a great spot with zillions of cafes and restaurants in the vicinity to eat at.

Hi
Grahame Sutton (from Suttons Surry Hills) offers short-term studios/one-bed in Surry Hills and Chippenndale (near Broadway). We stayed with him for 8 weeks on arrival to Sydney. He asks for 900pw but you may be able to negotiate the price down for a 4 weeks stay (well, we did). The flats are very central, well equipped and convenient.

Couple of great suggestions there thanks.
Around Avoca street would be perfect really. I think there may be a bus that goes to Malabar directly from there. If not one to Anzac Parade and change there.
I've never thought of looking for short term stuff on Domain for some reason. Even though I've spent half my life on there looking for a longer term flat
