Sweaty Armpits

Anybody experienced anything different in the way of BO since being in Oz? I never used to have a problem (and its not even warmed up yet - and don't mention the weather, we don't want to go there again!) but I do now. Nothing has changed in terms of diet or behaviour or clothing. Maybe its a hormonal thing brought on by the stress of getting over here, or can you just become a bit sweaty for no apparent reason?

Any good armpit advice involving minimal spray or roll on chemicals gratefully received.

I find the sweatier the pit, the better and more importantly ... louder ... the "fart" sound you produce when trying that childish prank of placing your hand under the arm and flapping the elbow like a bird ...

"parp ..."

Come on, join me now.

;)

Up to you if you want to try it or not, but we changed about two years ago to using the rock crystal deodorants and find them excellent. They don't stop you sweating, but they do stop you smelling with it! We changed because of the increasingly strong connection between underarm deodorant use and breast cancers - male and female. The rock crystal ones contain no aluminium chlorhydrate, believed to be the offending chemical. Can't post a link as it would be advertising, but if you google on rock crystal deodorants, a few Oz links will come up. The beauty of these things is the length of time they last - we've used less than two each in two years, and there are also body sprays and roll ons available. I'd highly recommend.

Another alternative is essential oil of ginger. It is excellent for reducing excessive perspiration, and deodorising.

HTH.

sorry to hear you BO difficulties, but the thread did make me smile. Friend of mine brought a 'green' crystal thing (In UK), is there any herbal type stores where you live that you could seek advice?

I'm with you, phraap, phraap, phrap, but as you can see its not so easy to type and flap at the same time.

Steve,

Stop it man.

I deem a phrap something completely different to what I have described and infinately more rude ...

Yours concerned in the Isle of Man.

Hmm not sure whether to go for a herbal remedy, a conventional remedy or search out an armpit specialist in the Perth phone book. But thanks for the advice.

How about forming a BE internet based armpit orchestra, you could be the conductor I'll be in the perspiration section. Can you think of any other useful instruments?

I'm a fan of the White trombone, particularly around 3.30am on a Sunday morning ;)

BO is caused by bacteria - so the smell is because different country = different bacteria. Haven't got a solution tho'.

Is it because you have no bath in your house and don't know how to use the shower!! :p
