Swan Valley Wineries

My parents are due over in a fortnight (help must get the house cleaned!!!!!!!!!!!!!) & I thought we'd go to the wineries one day (Dad pleeeze can you drive???) but we've only ever been to Margaret River before. Can anyone recommend any of the Swan wineries?

We prefer whites to reds, dry/chardonnay if that's any use!

Thank you

Do the river cruise of the wineries and get totally blotto like I did at Christmas then no one has to drive. We went to Houghtons, Sandalford and Olive Farm (for lunch) or was it Mulberry - can't remember.

Very good though. (a thing of the past - even the daquaris)

I totally agree :) We thought we would kill some time by visiting some wineries before dropping off our rental camper van and came across Sandalfords by accident.

We arrived early in the day so were the only two people who took up on the tour, which included a tasting and a couple of wine glasses.
The grounds were beautiful and the tour very interesting. Buy some of their wine.

Saying that it was great to see a couple of the tiny places in comparison.

Duckstien Brewery on the West Swan Road looks nice (not been yet!!) and there is a place called The ferral Brewary on Hadrill Road off the Gt Northern Highway, you can get a nice meal and taste different wines and beer. There is also a garden area with a swing (!!! Wey hey) and normally a few kids playing criket. Nice place in a nice setting:D
