I agree. We have good friends in Melbourne and so moved from London there. It was late October and the temp. was warmer in London than Melbourne. We stayed three weeks (shivering) as most of our winter clothes had been packed in the container. We moved to Sydney. No complaints about the weather.

My brother is in Saltdean and he is looking at Melbourne...we have friends that left West Sussex 2 weeks ago, they went to Melbourne too..
Somebody will shoot me down on this I know - lol, but we didnt want similiar weather to the UK thats why we didnt fancy Melbourne, the city and suburbs look fantastic. But 12000 miles for the same climate didnt appeal...
I know Melb is Victoria lol but it was the closest I could go to NSW !!

We are from Brighton (Well, I am a Mancunian who has been in Brighton around 13 years now).
We are going to make the move to Perth at some point in the next eighteen months. Melbourne is a close second for us.

We are from East Sussex, but originally from West Sussex, we live in Uckfield at the moment, and we are going to head Adelaide way!!!

We are on the West Sussex/Surrey borders (a little village just outside Horsham) and we are off to Brisbane on March 23rd. I remember recently someone trying to arrange a West Sussex meet but for some reason it never happened.
