Cool Survived The First 6 Weeks!

Well thought I'd better send a little note to say how we are getting on as I know how much I loved reading others!

Here on the Northern Beaches and it's beautiful
only one phrase springs to mind "Where the bloody hell are you?"
(JOKE>>>some may get it...some may not ..depends wot side yer on!)

Anyway....hectic first 6 weeks. Lots to do. Bank acct - opened HSBC then wish we hadnt as there arent any branches near here DOH! so gonna open a diferent one now.

Kids happily in school. Hubby settled in job. Me lookin for job!
First few weeks go by in a blur...literally. Had to keep pinchin ourselves that we are here.

Sydney definitely expensive property wise (just s everyone warned)
Living in a Duplex. We live upstairs in a house, someone else lives downstairs. Seperate entrances obviously!!!

You just have to be prpared to take each day as it comes.

I now have 12 people in my address book! Thats 2 friends a week on average
that i've made!

I'm never gonna be a whinging pom....we love it love it love it here

There's just ONE tidgy thing that i hate ( but amgetting a bit used to)
The boody cockroaches. I HATE EM!!!! Had the unit sprayed but still we c them.
Oh well - if thas the worst thing i can think of - isnt bad is it.

Miss people at home obviously - but keep in touch with close family by texting. They feel involved in our kids lives still then.

Well gotta go - Oprah's on. Doctor Phil is off whilst the Commonwealth Games is on. CHEEK !!!!
And don' ask me who i'm supportin?????
I'll give you a clue "When in Rome......"

TTFN.....ELJAY

Will do!
Kids are getting well into it! Son sings all the words to Aussie National Anthem everytime we here it on Commonwealth Games!

Feel more chilled out. Not rushing around as much. Hubby came home from work and we all went for a swim in one of the rockpools. Excellent.

UK seems a million miles away now.

Nice One Eljay

Glad things are going well for you. We have just moved to the Northern Beaches too. Mona Vale, agree the property to rent and buy very expensive but also sooo beautiful.

We have just had an application accepted on a 2 bed unit in Mona Vale 2 mins walk from the beach, so excited.

Just need a job now, meeting some recruitment people in Sydney tomorrow. Wish me luck.

A swift despatch with a cricket bat. I found that they couldn't skate over that silicone based ironing aid spray you can get, so if you put that around certain areas, they get stuck and slip on it. Then they're easier to catch.
