survival tips for a rekkie?

we are still toying with whether or not we need to get over to perth and have a look before we jump in feet first,,but................

could anyone give us a few tips we should do and look for whilst over there .................

It's a really tricky one to be honest. You need a fair amount of wedge and time to make it worth while - ie not treat it like a holiday. BUT IMO you end up with the holiday feeling because however much you try, you cannot get a proper feel for suburbs when just driving around during the day. Yes you can do the shopping thing and you may get an immediate gut instinct for the city, or a suburb but it doesn't often happen

I had to validate otherwise we would have all come over blind - hubby and girls did, but we came with the intention of moving to a different part of the country if we didn't like it here so our early days were our reccie.
