Surfboard question - Mr Mover

I need to pick your brains again please
We would like to ship our surfboard over but it has a lot of sand stuck in the wax coating. Will this be a problem for customs inspection - does it need to be completely clean like other outdoor stuff? It's proving very difficult to get the sand and wax off...

I have a surfie daughter - we clean her board very easily using a hairdryer and kitchen towel. Just hold the hairdryer over the waxy bits till they warm up then wipe off with good quality kitchen towel - then you can wash it down after and it comes up lovely.

No need for a hairdryer, too muck work.
wherever you get the wax from go into that shop and ask for a wax comb, the other side of the comb is a scaper, it should take no longer than 5-10 minutes to come off. i de-wax my board very month as i use it all the time so it gets dirty and i scape it off and start again. a chunk of wax is only £1.00 the same price as it was 15 years go when i started.
hope this helps
