Guys,

I suggest you all get yourselves off to www.aquabumps.com and subscribe to the very excellent daily service.

The fella who runs the site quite madly gets up at 6am each day and takes shots of the dawn, the first surfers of the day, and general early morning Bondi stuff. He then goes home and sets this all into a daily update - which he mails you for free every day.

check it out

Thanks for those two great links. I have signed up for the Aquabumps and it's great having the camera sweeping over Noosa on Coastwatch.

The best reports are on www.realsurf.com.au however the Bondi report is crap. The pictures of Dee Why point on there can be incredible.

Reality to reports is something different

I am on early shift next week so I should be out in the afternoon. Look out for the struggling one who hardly catches a wave and then wipes out.

What are you up to in Bondi?

what are peoples favoured beaches and why?

I can only really speak for Sydney and surrounds:

with the kids I'd say:
Bronte, Maroubra or Stanwell Park (nr Helensburgh)

I've never really fancied Bondi much. I've always been put off by the rumours of those Mersey Trout coming out of Ben Buckler.

I know Stanwell Park. I learned to paraglide there.

I can't wait to learn to surf properly.

Done quite a bit on cornwall, so it should be pretty exciting trying it in aus.

I like Terrigal Beach, Central Coast.

Never really liked Bondi - too big and too full of tourists - I thought Coogee a lot nicer..

I've got two lessons booked in October with Surf WA at Trigg. I can't wait.

Coogee is a bit flat and a bugger on the bus to the city.

Bondi has better food.

I had some lessons with them, it was great fun!

Though I tend to boogie board at the moment as I don't have a surfboard; plus it doesn't hurt as much when you fall off the top of a 6ft wave!

Look forward to seeing you down there Renth!
