Default Superannuation help

Hi, I started a part time job as a receptionist in a physio/chiro clininc and need to find a super fund as the company doesn't have one. I have looked online, but just confussed with all the different ones. Really need to speak to somebody any suggestions please?

Hi,

I would pick any super fund that is an "industry super fund". I use SunSuper.

There are a couple of books in the ".... for dummies" series on Super funds ('Superannuation for Dummies' and 'Choosing a superannuation fund for dummies' by Trish Power) both should be available at your local library.
Your employer has to hold on to your super until you have picked a fund, I think you get 3 months grace to supply the details.

as it's just a pt job I'd join any super for now. It's all transferable when you have had time to decide in years to come.

It depends on the fees, especially with only part time, there may be nothing left after they take the fees out.

I think this one needs a super with minimal fixed fees, but accept a higher % fee in exchange.
