superannuation contribution ???

Hi,

Sorry folks, but the more likely this move is looking the more questions i am going to ask! you are gonna get sick of me soon ;)

I had this on the clarification of my salary package...

Note in addition you also get the statutory superannuation contribution (which if you left Australia you can take with you).

Can someone explain in simple terms what this is? is it just a pension??

Thanks Gary

Yes. 9% on top of your salary. The fact that you can take it with you when you leave Oz indicates to me that you are on a temporary visa.
