Super Refund after Working on a 457?
Hi
I vaguely remember seemng something somehere on this but can't find now!
... about how you can get your super payments back when you leave after having worked on a 457 visa. IS this true? ARe they available tax free to do as you wish or do you have to put them back into a UK pension?
I have an offer to go to Perth and am currently doing all the calculations etc and the refund of these payments would be a contingency on returning to the UK whilst looking for a job

yes you get your super back when you leave Oz after working on a 457. Its taxed approx 30%. See details in the link above, hope it works. If not: www.ato.gov.au
We are also counting on that money, at least the flights will be paid
