super

When you apply for a job makes sure that the superannuation is on top of your salary . this is equivalent to 9% on top of the wages specified.
Some adverts say the job package is $0000 so many dollars but you have to take about 9% off that for the super.
I hope this is understable as Im no good at explaining such things.

e.g. Salary of $100,000 usually means 9%, or $9,000 is super and you get $91,000 before tax.

this might be off the point a bit - but if you had a tax file number on a working holiday visa and paid superannuation does that mean that you would have this if you go back as a permenant resident - do you know?

I don't think you pay super unless its arranged between you & your company. The company however does have to pay super into a fund for you, I'm not sure what % of your wage.
Yes I'm sure that super will be in your name & you can roll it over into another fund when your PR.
