Sunshine Coast cost of living.

Re: Sunshine Coast cost of living.
Hi
I'm sorry to hear that.
I know a lad that, that happened to, he had it all and ended up on heroin just the same.
I know private doesn't always mean better. I also think its down to the individual, whats good for one person, might not be for another.

Re: Sunshine Coast cost of living.
Examples:
Chris generally complains about the shortcomings of aspects of his life in Australia - the things his Uncle said (etc) - and occasionally about the Australian(s) he knew, or his slant on the things 'they said' (or do).
Just like the people who whinge about their UK life.

Re: Sunshine Coast cost of living.
I must surely have the most rational view of public/private education:
For me it's about the people, culture of the school and the experiences and nothing else. Results are results. Besides, we are the primary educators, not the teaching profession.
For me, I would lean to private schooling as you remove the common denominator and you can buy experiences and networks. Anyone can spend top dollar on a particular school: the culture of a school can be important. As for church schools: if they remove some of the common denominator then they provide a means to an end. Scare stories of private schools and drugs bother me as much as public schools and drugs.

Chris has cottoned on to this which is why he talks about HIM and HIS experiences. Quite simply I suspect he can't believe how good his new life is compared to Australian suburban mediocrity. That is all. I get it. My complaint is his style (lightweight) over substance.

Hello everyone,
This thread was originaly put on by myself, to gain some information about schools in the area, from people living in the area I am moving to... I am seeing a load of stupid comments (which I get an e-mail notification for every comment which is a waist of my time). If you do not have any worth while comments to add about the original subject can you please remove yourself from my thread . Molly Coddle & a very few others please stay on because your comments are helpfull, for which I am gratefull, thank you.
Lisa.

I do agree a good education is important, every parent wants their kids to have a good grasp of the basics even if they don't.

This is my first time using an open forum. I thought it was a place where people talk about a subjust they are familiar with to give advice and help others. I didn't realise it was like a chat site. Not that i've ever been on one of them though, so hay ho ha ha. Thank you to those who have helped me, it is appreciated. I'll be in Oz in 8 weeks yaaaa. Hope you all find what you are looking for x.
