Does anyone live on the Sunshine coast from here please? Were just wondering if we should live there rather than the Gold Coast, would love to know a bit more about the area mainly what the secondary schools are like, engineering fitter jobs and cost of houses etc. Any help would be much appreciated.

A lot of ex pats live here, i'm a maintenance fitter & found permanent work within days, schools same as everywhere else in the world, cost of houses varies from dirt cheap to megabucks (look on realestate.com.au)

Hi i've now lived on the sunshine coast for over a year. OH found work but took a couple of months, we are in the process of building a new home, and kids settled in local school. Jobs are out there its just a case of knocking on doors etc... I agree with the previous post, houses prices vary alot, average is $375-$475k depending on size and area, you can obviously go higher, it depends on what budget you have. Sunshine coast is not as busy as the gold coast as it does not have the active night life and theme parks etc.... , but i love it and cant see me moving.
