Sunrises and sunsets

Just to add a little serenity to the forum, can i say how truly spectaclar our sunrises and sunsets are down here. Saw a beauty this morning vivd orange/ pink clouds, tinged with dark grey and the vivid sky blue back drop, adds to the stunning effect. I never tire of seeing it. Had the exact same thing at sunset this evening as well. Two very serene monets in one day.

I am blessed :)

Yup, I agree that the sunrises and sunsets can be fantastic. Even better if you venture out into the outback (eg central Oz), away from artificial lights.

(Tevye)
Is this the little girl I carried?
Is this the little boy at play?

(Golde)
I don't remember growing older
When did they?

(Tevye)
When did she get to be a beauty?
When did he get to be so tall?

(Golde)
Wasn't it yesterday
When they were small?

(Men)
Sunrise, sunset
Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly flow the days
Seedlings turn overnight to sunflowers
Blossoming even as we gaze

(Women)
Sunrise, sunset
Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly fly the years
One season following another
Laden with happiness and tears

(Tevye)
What words of wisdom can I give them?
How can I help to ease their way?

(Tevye)
Now they must learn from one another
Day by day

(Perchik)
They look so natural together

(Hodel)
Just like two newlyweds should be

(Perchik & Hodel)
Is there a canopy in store for me?

(All)
Sunrise, sunset
Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly flow the days
Seedlings turn overnight to sunflowers
Blossoming even as we gaze

Sunrise, sunset
Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly fly the years
One season following another
Laden with happiness and tears

Funnily enough I used to spend time on the beach at Littlehampton as a child - I knew that piccie reminded me of something!

That was a splendid one!

Shame nobody else is keeping to the original poster's theme which was a couple of Monets, Sunsets, I believe. :D Still, there are hijackers everywhere these days...;)

Thanks!! It was just as we were driving back home one evening, I got my husband to pull over by the side of the road and I quickly jumped out and took it. Shame about the caravan park in the foreground though!

But it's very green in Bucks and the UK generally, though...you have to go up to QLD rainforest to get green like that in Aus (or should I stand corrected?) The blue hills aren't exactly green, are they?
