I was watching the windsurfers from my balcony on Saturday, it looked absolutely awesome.

I had other commitments, unfortunately.

Hopefully it will be a good season and there will be at least 6 months of non-stop seabreezes! Fingers crossed!

This place is just unbelievable if you are in to any type of sailing/surfing sports. I don't think I've ever seen winsufrers moving so fast as on Saturday.

I've got my first surfing lessons next Saturday and Sunday, I don't know if there is going to be much swell, but I can't wait.

Best we keep quiet about "how great it is" and then we can have it all to ourselves!

Spoke to my friend in Geraldton yesterday, and he's just been sponsored for his kite surfing! He got a load of free stuff last week and is busy practising stunts to impress us when we get overthere in a couple of weeks!

Mine are costing about $75.00 for 2 two hour sessions through the University Sports Club.

I think it's about $100 or so if you go to Surf WA direct.

Cool stuff!

Geraldton is a top place to kite surf, too windy for my skill level, I think I'd end up in Asia!

I think he must have been working really hard at it. 2 years ago (when we saw him last) he spent about an hour getting rigged up and 2 seconds on the water, before being dragged, big stylie across the beach, face down, into the path of an incoming four wheel drive! (i'm sorry, but it was funny as, for those of us watching! ) But he was a tad p*ssed off mind you!

My other half fancies a hobbycat, do you get much of that in WA?
I dont fancy the hanging my butt over the side bit, too much chance of having it harpooned
