Do you think they will lower the point system, now that
they have made the changes to the IT section?

Not in the imminent future I don't - but that's just a personal view and don't quote me in the future when and if the points structure and/or pass mark changes.

I can't see the pass mark dropping in the immediate future either -
unless it's combined with some other changes.

These could include raising the IELTS standard required to get English
language points and reducing the number of 'community languages'
eligible for points down to the ones that have some use in the
Australian labour market (about 6 or 7 major European and Asian
languages).

Things will also be affected by developments in the Canadian and New
Zealand systems in particular.
