submission of reports
Does anyone know what happens if you cannot meet the deadline for submission of medicals or police checks? If say they arrive at their office 2-3 days after the date given for submission, is the whole application void?

I think that DIMA can continue with the application with what information they have, so theoretically you could fail your medical or clearnance if they do dont receive it when expected.
When we applied, we were given the deadline for both medicals and police clearance, it said that they knew that sometimes the polce clearance can take longer than the deadline they had imposed and that this was ok, as long as they were told. If you know you wont make the deadline...tell them! ian Originally posted by dani: Does anyone know what happens if you cannot meet the deadline for submission of medicals or police checks? Re: submission of reports
The best thing is to notify your case officer in advance and ask for extra time, due to circumstances out of your control (doctors queues, police check administration time, etc). As far as I can understand from other posts here, it shouldn't be a problem.
Not informing them could be negative, though. Originally posted by dani: Does anyone know what happens if you cannot meet the deadline for submission of medicals or police checks? If say they arrive at their office 2-3 days after the date given for submission, is the whole application void? Dani |
Re: submission of reports
As the others have said - if there's a problem, *tell* your case
officer. They can actually be quite reasonable. The deadline is there to stop people dragging out their applications indefinitely by not providing information - unlike some other aspects of the system it can be flexible if you tell your case officer. Jeremy Thanks for the replies, I had e-mailed my case officer explaining the delay, but did not receive a reply. At the very worst it should get to them 2 days late, Dani |
