Subarbs in Perth

Hi,

where is the best place to live in Perth? What are the best subarbs and relatively close to the CBD?
Even slightly further out isn't a problem, i regularly do a one hour commute into work in London, so commuting is not a problem. Looking to purchase a home up to $450,000.
