Default sub class 138 family sponsorship costs etc???

Can anyone tell me what cost is involved in a family member sponsoring me and my family to immigrate to Perth. We have already received acceptance from TRA and are now ready to start completing our visa application but not sure how much money is involved for a sponsorship.

Hi there,

Dave and I are on a 138. The link above should give you all the information you need about what's payable by your Assurer.

Our Assurer had to pay a total of $5000 - $3500 for the first person and $1500 for each additional adult.

Hope this helps,

Nicky

My Brother sponsored us and had to put up $5000 into a separate account. This has to stay untouched for 2 years i believe you receive all the interest earned on this. Also you have to pay $150 for the privilege of opening this account. But it will all be worth it in the end. A lot better then having to stump up the $100,000 bond others have to pay.
