Stuck between Perth or Brisbane?
 

I am very confused at the moment?? I would like to move to Brisbane but partner wants to go to Perth?? Can anyone give me there opinions on each side we have never visited Australia before so any advice would be a great help.

Could anyone give me a indication of where is best to live round Perth we wont be able to afford inner Perth as I believe that the prices are very expensive! North or South would now be the question. But if anyone has any information regarding Brisbane that would also be good! :thumbsup:

That everything is more or less on the doorstep well in metaphor anyway!! I think Perth is isolated as it is on its own?? Partner is a joiner and we have just heard that the work is better there?? Dont know if thats true I never really fancied any of the other states for some strange reason just never stood out when people talk about Australia. Thats why I am asking for some help on this matter!

Plenty of work for Joiners in Brissy!

Have been to both places - Perth is grogeous but small/ remote/ isolated/ boring (my opinion remember)!

Brissy is bigger/ more opportunity/ more to do/ other cities near by/ blah blah blah!

It's horses for courses at the end of the day - I suggest you spend a few weeks doing a reccie trip over here and visit both cities.

Yes, been all over Australia. I don't rate SE Qld at all - especially Brisbane.

West is Best!

I recently returned from 2 weeks in Brisbane and it was nice but Perth is so much better in my opinion. The shopping in Brisbane is definitely better but that was about it for me.

It all boils down to the work situation IMO. If his joinery is principally in the construction industry then go to QLD as the building game is stagnant here in Perth according to many in the know. How long it will continue to boom in QLD is anyone's guess. My guess is between one and two years.

Brisbane lot of storms/floods is very humid,

Perth allot drier can be very hot,

spent time in both live in perth

Thanxs guys seems to me more people swinging for the West!!! I need to look into work for partner I suppose thats the main thing? I thought WA had a building boom has that slowed down now?

One more thing cost of living does it vary from each state which is cheaper??
