B****r, go to http://www.theage.com.au and click on streets ahead in the pop stakes, top right. Geez, you were quick off the mark Mick, I'll have to go back to the Melbourne thread!
Am I doing something wrong by just copying and pasting the URL which appears at the top when I can see the article?

It's often mentioned on this site how parochial Australia is (my comment isn't about whether it is/isn't), but not one of the top ten entries on this poll is footage covering an Australian event, or most famously covering an Australian individual/group.
2% even voted that England's World Cup win in 1966 was the most important! Margaret Thatcher's resignation also makes the list!
Only 716 people voted in this poll so it's only a small sample, but surely there must be defining moments in Australian film footage......

One poll on that page surprised me a little. The one about 'the world's most important piece of film footage'.
