Has someone asked you to provide a "Strathclyde Police Check"?
In Scotland the SCRO does the domestic type screening of people...
If you want a 'police check' for an Australian Visa it is the ACPO police check you need.
Well it was when we sent ours off 8 weeks ago!!
We are currently sitting in Motherwell waiting for our flights which leave in
48 hours and 2 minutes!

I WAS BORN IN PERTHSHIRE BUT SPENT MOST OF MY YEARS IN CENTRAL REGION. I NEED TO HAVE A UK POLICE CHECK FOR MY DE FACTO VISA.. BUT HOW DO I GO ABOUT THIS.. IS THERE A FORM I CAN DOWNLOAD AND HOW MUCH WILL IT BE ? THANKS ..

Here is the address for the ACPO - you can download an application from here. My certificates were £35 each and £5 for an extra copy last year.
That should cover you for the whole of the UK.

Thanks I downloaded the forms and will get that organised but do I still have to have the AFP one filled in as well or does this ACRO
cover me for both? thanks..

ACRO does not cover Australia (unclear how you think it does).
If you need an Australian police check (do you?) it must be done separately.

I have been told I require an Australian Police check for my de facto visa.. so I will just get both done. I must have misunderstood.. thanks again.
