Question strange question

Hope this is not a stupid question but does anyone know if it is ok to take a fibre optic christmas tree to Oz? What about christmas decorations?
We have box's and box's of different types of baubles in the loft and was going to sort out the best and keep them but i am sure i read on here that you can't take them.
Any info would be appreciated
Thanks
Jackie

Hi there. I'm pretty sue fibre optic christmas trees are fine to bring in, and as for decorations, baubles are aboslutely fine. We bought loads of xmas deocrations in with us last time we came back from the UK. The only thing to to be aware of is pine cones. Our xmas tree had loads of pines cones attached but they all had to come off.

Be aware that AQIS frequently seem unable to tell the difference between real vegetation and plastic vegetation. A well known poster on here had to pay for her hat with plastic flowers to be treated, I also know of a lady in Melbourne who had to pay for her entire Christmas nativity set to be destroyed as it had plastic grass in the stable.
