Lightbulb Strange Definition of Britishness

From the Daily Telegraph:

The second most important factor is winning the war?

Not how I read it. Defiance isn't the same thing as winning.

OK, fair enough - Defiance. But don't you think 65 years on still banging on about the war is a bit odd?

Where's the Beatles on that list.

Maybe I'll get a poll going with the same categories and see what we can come up with.

Glad to see 'The Royal Navy' tied with 'Having a strong economy', if it all goes pear shaped we can always fall back on invading other countries

Depends on the context - not forgetting is important; one way to try and make sure it doesn't happen again. Banging on about it 'cause it's the only thing we've ever won, however ...

But an interesting list. Restaurants?!

A poll sounds an excellent idea.
