Default Storm Damage in QLD

With all the news on TV lately about the sub-zero weather and snow that the East Coast of the US is experiencing and mud slides in the Middle East and South America, we shouldn't forget that Brisbane has its share of devastating weather too.

I've attached a photo illustrating the damage caused to a friend's
home from a storm that passed through the Brisbane area last week. It really makes you cherish what you have, and reminds us not to take things for granted !!!

Badger, we must have caught the edge of that one.

Had a storm three or four years ago with the rain blowing across the road at 90deg's. The place next door had the whole yard full of branches and trees. There was one tree that fortunately fell with the wind or it would have fell across where the tv is in the lounge. Two blocks of flats in the neighbouring street had their roofs wrapped around a house and powerlines across the road.

Still nothing beats Tracey in Darwin though or the 1974 floods!

Pity you didn't take any pictures of the trees and stuff at the Dagboys place when you were staying there - now that really WAS a storm:scared:

Badge,
I only just caught up with this thread and gotta say it's one of the funniest things I've seen on here - and that is saying something.
I guess it was the anticipation of seeing a roofless house or something - but it was much worse than that eh ?
