Hi,

I am currently living(renting) in Sydney and plan to be out of town for about 6-8 months. Does anyone know approximately how much it costs to hire a storage for one bedroom apartment. Typical big items are: Sofa, dinning table, bedmattress, washer, fridge, big TV stand and some small misc stuff. I was hoping that I can pay around AUD150 per month, am I too naive to believe that?

If anyone out there have some previous experience in this, please let know.

This one in Melbourne http://www.frys.com.au/ gives you a good idea of how to size the unit, and the cost, but in Melbourne.

It may give you an idea, as I would assume Melbourne and Sydney prices would be similar.

From my own experience, I would add a bit on to the space it recommends.
We hired a space for our goods, in 2002, but needed one twice as big, as we couldn't pack it the way they calculate it.

Check out spareroom.com.au - I looked at storing some of our furniture and they seemed ok. Can't remember costs now but should be on there.

edit: It's in Sydney, BTW.
