Smile stonemason position in perth - adelaide

hi , my husband is a stonemason [stone cleaning, patio's, walling,stone buildings etc etc ] and we are p/residents moving over oct/nov this year.spending time in perth and adelaide .we wondered what the work situation was like for stonemasons and what pay can we could expect him to earn.we would be grateful for any help thanks

Cant answer that but I do know that Fremantle Prison has brought over a team of Irish stonemason's as there is a massive shortage of them in WA so hopefully he can name his price,

hi,thanks for your reply,did you see about fremantle prison in the papers? hopefully there will be suitable work for him

My OH is a timed served stonemason, we have just came back from Sydney.
Few jobs there if like OH you do bankerwork/fixing/restoration, but housing very expensive offered work on cards pay was $24 per hr,self employed between $30/$40 per hr but dont know how easy it is becoming self employed .People i met were not the friendliest in trade(in Sydney that is).

Trying other parts of Aus let you know if any good,could you do the same all best.

Sorry......... can't help re jobs for stonemasons.

However........... if he's a Freemason............ he's more than welcome to join our Lodge at Joondalup.
