yep yesterday was very uncomfortable, had the aircon on all day and stayed indoors... humidity was about 80% I think they said on the news...

Cold showers and doing as little as humanly possible.. Luckily when i go to work i get to be the air con so it's nice.
We've just moved house and before i had to sleep with air con all night but here is much cooler and i hardly use it at all....we're up a a hill with a nice breeze

Yes, even I wouldn't mind a southerly change to blow through, which is what's due tonight. Night before last night the missus and I dragged the mattress into the living room and slept in there with the air-con on (the sprog's slept in a tent in the back garden) - outside temp didn't drop much all night.
