Default Steve Irwin Day -15th Nov 07

So anyone going to Australia Zoo for the 15th?

I'll be heading up there to see what the sights are (and to see Jimmy Barnes) he's a good old crooner!!!! ha ha

Just wondering what everyone else is up to?

He was a guy that owned a zoo, worked in animal conservation and through clever marketing made his zoo popular. He unfortunatley died young and left a family which was tragic.

Shit happens.

So what's so special that it deserves a day out on this day specially?

Well the kids are going to school, hubby is going to work and I am going out to lunch. What's so special about 15th November. I can understand seeing Jimmy Barnes but the rest is pointless.

I think the guy was the best Marketing tool Australia had..

I also liked him, have met his wife, and love their zoo.

I for one was shocked when we all heard of his demise, but i wont be making the pilgrimage, to Australia Zoo.

I did my bit, watching the wake, live on Oz Tv, at Australia Zoo.. and listening to my old fave...... John Williamson - true blue

I don't normally get involved in bun fights on here. But my grandparents god rest them used to say,

'If you don't have anything nice to say don't say it at all'

I don't think there is any call for comments like 'Shit happens' you try on a life experience like that for size and see how you like it.

Buns chucked, feel better now.

You know what Mr 'Shit Happens',

If you ever meet a sorry end, get some of your loved ones to inform us (if you have any!), and we'll say 'Shit Happens'.

My children adored Steve Irwin, he taught them to respect all God's creatures, even you!!!!!!!!!

I'll have my daily dump in the morning, go to work, enjoy some family time before I veg in front of the TV for an hour or so before bed.

If I'm lucky, who knows what can happen between now and then?

Or run-over by a sleep-deprived womanising race car driver.

I think it is a very sad event, and the passion that the man had for not only the wildlife but his family deserve to be respected. I think its great that they can commemorate his life.

Like Elvis, I am sure his death will be the greatest marketing tool ever devised.
