Default SteamMops, worth buying?

Hi Folks

Well I'm suffering from that age old problem, when white grout turns bad!!!! :scared:

Been thinking about investing in a steam mop, because quite frankly I have better things to do with my days than scrub grout!
Is a steam mop worth getting?(I know this'll seem bizarre to most folk in the uk but wait until 80% of your house is covered in tiles)

Cheers

Ange

I bought my one from good old Woolworths in UK, but my friend got one from Crazy Clarkes and thats good. My handheld one was from one of those vaccum shops here in Oz.

Thanks so much for this Kath, just didn't want to go buying one to be finding it didn't do what i thought it did(i.e. get the grout clean). It's a trip to Crazy clarks for me, me thinks!

Can you use them on the wood flooring. Laminate.

I have a Kenwood one - excellent on the acres of tiled floors.

I have a Karcher: it cleans OK but because of the ridiculous safety features you have to wait at least half an hour after it becomes empty - both the temp and pressure have to disappear - before the filling cap releases and it can be refilled!

A proper room clean takes over one fill - so it becomes a saga...

i have laminate flooring which i absolutely hate, but, my steam mop brings it up great and doesn't get it too wet so hopefully wont warp it....

Godfreys are giving you one free this weekend if you buy a vacuum and most of their vacuums are being sold off cheap, pity i wont shop in my local one after they shouted at my kids and i stormed out in a strop
